UAM moves on to face DSU; Eliminates Rollins 78-66

CLEVELAND- The University of Arkansas-Monticello (21-8) will move on to the second round of the 2009 NCAA South Regional tournament after defeating Rollins College 78-66 in the final game of the first round of action at Walter Sillers Coliseum Friday night. 

The Cotton Blossoms were off to a hot-start in the first half, shooting 57 percent from the floor and were up at the half 37-28. 

Rollins (24-6) shot evenly throughout the ballgame, despite shooting better in the second half, and forcing 24 turnovers. 

UAM had three players finish in double digits, led by Andrea Dubose with 13 while Kourtnie Berry finished with a game-high 18 points for the Tars. 

UAM will battle Delta State Saturday night in the semifinals, the fourth meeting between the two teams this season. Tip-off is set for 8 p.m.
