CLEVELAND-The Delta State University softball team dropped a pair of games to Arkansas Monticello to begin their Gulf South Conference schedule on Saturday at University Field.

CLEVELAND-The Delta State University softball team dropped a pair of games to Arkansas Monticello to begin their Gulf South Conference schedule on Saturday at University Field.
The Lady Statesmen (12-8) fell in a heartbreaking 7-6 in 11 innings in game one, but things weren't as close in game two, as UAM toppled DSU 8-1.
The series will conclude Sunday at University Field. First pitch is scheduled for 1 p.m.
