Jenna Smart

Graduate Assistant
First Year

Jenna Smart begins her first full season as a graduate assistant on coach David Kuhn’s staff. 
       
A native of Morris, Ill., Smart concluded her career as one of the all-time leading pitchers for the Lady Statesmen.  A four-year letterwinner from 2003-2006, Smart was a key contributor on two GSC West Division title teams.
       
The flame-throwing right-hander recorded 36 career victories and 330 strikeouts.  Smart ranks fourth in career victories at DSU with 36, while ranking in the top 10 in every career pitching category.  She is a three time All-Gulf South Conference selection.
       
Smart earned a bachelor’s degree in Business from Delta State in the fall of 2006.  She is currently pursuing a master’s in Health, Physical Education and Recreation. 
       
Smart’s duties include, but are not limited to, working with the pitchers and catchers, field maintenence, travel coordination and recruiting.
