John Constable

Graduate Assistant
First Season

John Constable is the latest addition to head coach Jim Allen’s staff as a first year Graduate Assistant for the Delta State University soccer program. Constable has a lifetime of soccer experience at the amateur, college and professional levels in his native Scotland and here in the United States.

After high school, he played for two seasons for Motherwell Football Club of the Scottish Premier League where he played along some of the games well known players such as James McFadden (Everton FC) and Andy Goram.

Following his stretch with Motherwell, Constable earned a scholarship at Tusculum College (TN) where he played for two seasons earning a trip to the Elite 8 of the NCAA Division II Tournament his sophomore season. He transferred to Seton Hill his junior campaign to earn a degree in Business and Entrepreneurial Studies.

Although his experience in coaching is limited, he has been coached by some of the best the English Premier League has to offer including Derby County’s Billy Davies.

He is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Business Administration.
