Michael Nienaber is in his second year as a Graduate Assistant in the Department of Athletic Media Relations.

Nienaber comes to Delta State after four years in the Sports Information Office at GSC-rival Christian Brothers University, where he served as the student assistant for all 13 athletic programs.

Nienaber is the primary contact for the men’s basketball program, as well as secondary contact for DSU’s soccer programs. His duties include the production of media guides, press releases, website updates, and feature stories for the department, as well as all game-day activities surrounding these events.

The McKenzie, Tenn. native, is a 2004 graduate of Christian Brothers University with a Bachelors degree in History. He is currently seeking a Masters of Education degree in Political Science.
