
Dana George

Dana George begins her second year as Assistant Athletic Director for Development/Senior Women's Administrator at Delta State University.
Her duties as Assistant Director of Athletics include fundraising, Green & White Fund management, advertising sales and athletic promotions.
George works closely with the Cleveland community finding sponsors for athletic events. She also stays in contact with DSU athletics Alumni and coordinates events for former Statesmen and Lady Statesmen athletes. She also serves as the advisor to the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
Before coming to DSU, George held the position of Assistant Softball Coach at Sam Houston State University from 1998-2001 where she assisted with recruiting and coordinated team travel.
After a three year stint at SHSU, George took the position of Head Softball Coach at Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, Missouri, a position she held from 2001-2004.
George completed her undergraduate work starting at Mississippi Delta Community College, Delta State University, and finished up at Sam Houston State University. She also earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Delta State.
George was a member of the 1997-1998 Delta State University Softball team. She was also the 1997-98 recipient of the Lady Statesmen Award.
Dana is married to Justin George who is an Independent Crop Consultant. The couple resides here in Cleveland and is expecting their first child in June.
