CLEVELAND - Delta State University Statesmen Football boasts a rich tradition on and off the field of play. The Statesmen have claimed four Gulf South Conference Championships (1998, 2000, 2007 and 2008), made five trips to the NCAA Division II playoffs (1998, 2000, 2006, 2007 and 2008) and claimed the NCAA Division II National Championship in 2000.
Today, DSU Football is proud to announce its Locker Room Legacy Program and Enhancement Project. Below you will find links and additional information on sponsoring a locker or making a contribution to the renovation of the Statesmen Football Locker Room.
Locker Sponsorship Program
Delta State University Football Alumni: With your tax-deductible donation of $300, your Statesmen legacy will continue! A plaque with your name, years played, position and hometown will hang proudly in the locker of your Statesmen jersey number! Every current and future Statesmen will know the history and tradition behind his number. Donations may also be placed in memory of a former Statesmen student-athlete! There may be multiple sponsorships per locker!
"The five years I spent at Delta State have left me with so many incredible memories and a degree that has me getting paid to do what I love! Not only did I meet my beautiful wife there, but also a countless number of incredible friends and teammates that have made a huge impact on my life. I am glad to have the opportunity to give back to an institution that gave me so much. The records and Wins are all great, but what we all truly miss is the guys in that locker room. I look forward to continuing to support Statesmen Football and wish them nothing but the best in their "Run for another Ring"!
- Scott Eyster, DSU Football Alumnus, Class of 2006
