INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The NCAA announced the field for the 2010 Division II National Championship Baseball Tournament on Sunday night and for the second time in three years the Statesmen (34-16-1) of Delta State University will not be participating.  The Statesmen entered the final regular season regional rankings at No. 6, but slipped out of the top eight spots during postseason selections.

Southern Arkansas is the region's top seed, but No. 2 seed Tampa will serve as regional tournament host Thursday, May 14 through Monday, May 17 at the University of Tampa Baseball Stadium in Tampa, Fla.  

The complete 2010 NCAA South Region Tournament field includes: (1) SAU versus (8) Albany State, (2) Tampa versus (7) Florida Tech, (3) Valdosta State versus (6) West Florida), and (4) Florida Southern versus (5) Rollins.
