After Day Two in the NSISC Championships, Statesmen and Lady Statesmen in third place

CLEVELAND- With the second day of competition of the New South Intercollegiate Swim Conference Championships in the books, the Lady Statesmen and Statesmen find themselves each in third place.

The Lady Statesmen, with 287.5 points are behind the likes of Truman State (326.5 points) and Henderson State (342.5 points.) On the Statesmen side of things, they have registered 277 points and are just 27 points behind the leader Missouri S&T.

For the ladies, in the 500 yard freestyle, Dawn Thomson won the race with a NCAA Nationals B-cut time of 5:04.52. Hannah Willis took third in the race as well with a B-cut time of 5:05.32.

In the 50 yard freestyle, Sam Fajardo took third with a nationals' A-cut time of 23.77. The group of Alyce Meador, Hannah Boudreaux, Amanda Guidry and # Mary Katherine Waddell# grabbed third in the 400 yard medley relay with a Division II nationals' A-cut time of 3:54.81.

For the guys, the quad of Adam Milecz, Deniz Guner, Steven Ingvoldstad and brother Justin Ingvoldstad finished fourth in the 200 yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:23.49 and capturing a B-cut time in the process.

Adam Dajka did it again, winning the 500 yard freestyle in 4:29.18 while grabbing a A-cut time. Wolfgang Mairinger finsihed third in the race with a B-cut time of 4:35.39. The 50 yard freestyle was good to the Statesmen as Justin Ingvoldstad, Steven Ingvoldstad and Adam Milecz all took home NCAA Division II Nationals qualifying B-cut times.
