Statesmen & Lady Statesmen ranked in CSCAA/College Swimming.com's Top 10

CLEVELAND - The Delta State University Statesmen and Lady Statesmen Swimming & Diving teams found themselves in familiar territory on Thursday, as the College Swim Coaches Association and CollegeSwimming.com's ranked the programs in the top 10 of their monthly poll.  It's the second-straight poll that both program's have been ranked in the top 10.

The Statesmen held firm at No. 5 this week behind No. 1 Grand Valley State, Incarnate Word, Wayne State and Henderson State.  UC-San Diego, Ashland, Tampa, Saint Cloud State and Wingate round out the top 10.

The Lady Statesmen were ranked eighth after solid performances in their last three meets.  Wayne State remained No. 1 followed by Grand Valley State, Henderson State, Tampa and Saint Cloud State in the top five.  Gannon was sixth followed by Incarnate Word, DSU, Ashland and Truman State in the top 10.

Both teams will be in action Saturday, Jan. 23 in a three team meet at Emory University in Atlanta, Ga.  DSU, Emory and Wingate will kickoff the tri-meet starting at 2 p.m. EST.  Complete meet results and postgame coverage will be available on GoStatesmen.com following the event.
