Lady Statesmen Soccer falls at Spring Hill 6-0

MOBILE, Ala. - The Delta State University Lady Statesmen Soccer team fell Saturday to Spring Hill College 6-0 at Library Field on SHC's campus. The Lady Statesmen fell to 2-4 on the year, while the Lady Badgers improved to 4-4.
After a closely played first half that saw Spring Hill jump out to a 1-0 lead, the Lady Badgers scored five second half goals to run away with the non-conference victory.
DSU's Samantha Le Juene recorded 12 saves on the day after facing 32 shots. SHC's Emma Pitchford tallied three saves in the win.
The Lady Statesmen return to action on Sept. 30 at Christian Brothers to open Gulf South Conference play. The kickoff is set for 5 p.m.
