Complete Meet Results - DSU at OBU
ARKADELPHIA, Ark. - Delta State fell just short of pulling out a victory against the TigerSharks of Ouachita Baptist University. Swimming World Magazine’s “Dual Meet of the Week,” on the campus of OBU, finished as a sweep of the Statesmen and Lady Statesmen with an overall score of 264-212.
On the women’s side, OBU handled Delta State by a final score of 127-112.
Divers, Jessie Lockwood and Jennifer Gerasimos, swept the diving events, earning a total of 26 points. Amanda Guidry finished first in the 100-butterfly, and Mary Catherine Waddell came out on top in the 100-freestyle.
The Statesmen also had a hard time handling the TigerSharks as they fell 137-100. Roman Sereda had a good performance as he finished first in the 200-freestyle and 100-butterfly. Josh Bowman and Patrick Remmington finished first and second in both diving events for the Statemen.
The Statesmen and Lady Statesmen return to Cleveland on November 22 to take on the University of New Orleans in the DSU Aquatic Center.
