DSU ATHLETICS TO RELEASE LIMITED EDITION DVD OF GRISHAM EVENT; AUTOGRAPHED COPIES OF GRISHAM BOOKS STILL AVAILABLE

CLEVELAND – Delta State Athletics is set to release a special limited edition DVD of “John Grisham on American Treasures: Books, Baseball, and ‘Boo.’” Grisham’s return to campus, an event 34 years in the making, was a once in a lifetime chance to see one of America’s most beloved authors and one of baseball’s greatest coaches and ambassadors, Dave “Boo” Ferriss, relive the stories, laughs and thrills of their brief time to together at Delta State University.

The hour-long program features Grisham’s account of how his time as a future Statesman was cut short by the right arm of former Major Leaguer and Delta State ace Stewart Cliburn. The DVD will close with a look at the thrill-a-minute auction that raised thousands for the DSU Green and White Fund.

DVD copies will be available for $25. There are also a limited number of John Grisham autographed copies of his latest work, “The Appeal.” Books are available for $50 and both items may be purchased at the DSU Athletic Department or by phone at (662) 846-4300.
